Kris said that Chinese people are the most hospitable people she has ever met. Her private messages on Xiaohongshu are often flooded with messages welcoming her to China. Chinese netizens not only invite Kris to visit their cities but also share their pets, kids and the scenery from different cities with her. To Kris's surprise, due to misreporting by U.S. media, she thought there was a lot of smog in China and children were working in Chinese factories, but speaking directly with Chinese netizens, Kris found that these were fake, which shocked her.
