As a graceful blend of art and sport, figure skating is undoubtedly one of the spotlight programs at the upcoming 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin City, northeast China.
Figure skating also boasts a rich history in the Olympic Games. It made its debut at the 1908 London Games and again in 1920 Antwerp Games (both in summer), before the first Winter Olympic Games in 1924. Skaters earn points through two main components under the ISU Judging System: the Technical Element Score (TES) and the Program Component Score (PCS).
