The death toll from a landslide on Indonesia's main island of Java has risen to 21, with five people still missing as rescue efforts continue. Intense rainfall on Monday in a mountainous area of central Java sparked the landslide, collapsing bridges, and burying cars and houses.
"I was outside wanting to see the water channel when suddenly a landslide occurred from above. I ran with someone else, but I'm not sure about the others. Fortunately, the others are safe, but two people passed away."
"The heavy rain started from that side first, and the landslide came down immediately. Fortunately, it didn't hit anything. The location is in the living room, and at the time of the incident, I wasn't there – the house was empty."
