Recently, the Permanent Mission of China in Vienna hosted a vibrant Chinese New Year reception at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna. Among the over 5,000 international staff at the headquarters, diplomats and representatives from various countries actively participated in the event. In a joyful and festive atmosphere, they welcomed the Year of the Snake, sharing the charm of traditional culture and the joy of the new year. Gerd Müller, director-general of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), extended Chinese New Year greetings for the Year of the Snake to China and the world.
