Ahead of the Chinese New Year, Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited northeast China's Liaoning Province for his first domestic inspection of 2025. He met with grassroots officials and residents, extended greetings and visited troops.
