Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said in an interview with CMG that Chinese-style modernization has provided a new development idea for the Global South and that each country should explore its own modernization path according to its own characteristics. He said he believes that the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by China provide important support for maintaining world diversity and promoting global progress to ensure that development benefits everyone. The initiatives are not only inclusive, he said, but also highlight the unique qualities of different cultures, promote international cooperation and understanding, and open up new prospects for global development.
