The Chinese Zodiac is an iconic symbol in Chinese culture, consisting of twelve animals: the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig, with each year being "governed" by one of the zodiac animals. Renowned sand artist Xiao Sixin from South China's Shenzhen City presented a unique sand art performance to a global audience during this year's CGTN Super Night. Using sand, Xiao brought to life the images of all twelve zodiac animals, illustrating how they pass on their sacred duty of watching over each year. It allows viewers to experience the profound integration of traditional Chinese culture with contemporary artistic expression.
