In another episode of CGTN's Talk Sports interview series, the Olympic speed skating champion sat down with Sports Scene's Shen Xiang to discuss the upcoming Asian Winter Games and his long-term aspirations leading up to the 2026 Winter Olympics.
During the conversation, the 27-year-old athlete reflected on his journey of recovery and the fresh start he is embracing after clinching gold at the Beijing 2022 Games. He also shared some of his favorite local spots in Harbin, the host city for the Asian Winter Games this February. He fondly recalled standing atop the podium at the 2017 Asian Winter Games and expressed his thoughts on Jordan Stolz's achievement in breaking his track records.
The Olympic champion also opened up about managing injuries and the importance of finding balance in his training and personal life. Furthermore, he discussed his role within the national team and highlighted the emerging talents in China's speed skating scene as he aims for further breakthroughs in his career.
