The U.S. Navy has banned the use of DeepSeek, a Chinese-developed AI model that's recently garnered global attention for its advanced abilities and low development cost. The U.S. Navy said the ban is due to "security and ethical concerns." Others have also voiced concern over the model's data and privacy management practices. Professor Gai Keke with the School of Cyberspace Science and Technology at Beijing Institute of Technology tells CGTN that it's cooperation that is needed in AI development, not isolation.
