The Year of the Snake 2025 is here!  The Spring Festival, rooted in Chinese tradition, has transcended borders to become a cherished celebration embraced by people around the globe. This year, Takaya Inoue, a Japanese student at Tsinghua University, is planning to spend the Chinese New Year in Beijing with his international friends to get an authentic experience of the festival.

In this video, Inoue shares his impressions of the Chinese New Year and talks about a similar Japanese New Year fixed on January 1 of every year. "We celebrate it by eating Japanese soba noodles to pray for a peaceful new year. And similar with China, we come back home wherever we are to spend time with our families," he said.
