Cristiano Ronaldo of Al Nassr looks on during the Saudi Pro League match against Al Raed in Buraydah, Saudi Arabia, January 30, 2025. /CFP
Al Nassr claimed a 2-1 victory away to Al Raed in Buraidah to climb up to third in the Saudi Pro League standings on Thursday, and clinch their 11th win of the season.
Having threatened to score with Otavio hitting the crossbar with a thunderous volley, Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for the visitors in the 35th minute, getting the slightest of touches from a Marcelo Brozovic freekick.
He then set up Nawaf Bu Washl just after the break for his first goal at the club, as he doubled Al Nassr's lead.
Al Raed were given hope by a moment of class from Amir Sayoud, who turned and curled his shot past Al Nassr goalkeeper Bento in the 76th minute, but it was nothing more than a consolation.
