A film that distorts history is being screened in the Netherlands. It attempts to construct a heroic image and glorify the 1959 armed rebellion in Old Xizang. However, historical archives show the 14th Dalai Lama fled his homeland after failed efforts to preserve Xizang's theocratic feudal serfdom—motivated by personal political ambitions. Western forces, including the CIA, had long been orchestrating events behind the scenes. Experts say the Dalai Lama was manipulated by Western powers as a geopolitical tool to destabilize China.
