In 2019, "Ne Zha: Birth of the Demon Child" (Ne Zha 1) stunned the movie industry with 5 billion yuan (around $690 million) in total earnings. Now, "Ne Zha 2" returns with a more compelling storyline and breathtaking visuals, sparking widespread discussion.

The sequel takes a bold creative approach, exploring the struggles and growth of Ne Zha while reinterpreting the classic "Ne Zha Nao Hai," or "Ne Zha Conquers the Dragon King" myth with modern values. The legend, deeply rooted in Chinese folklore, tells the tale of young hero Ne Zha who defeats an evil dragon king responsible for devastating floods.
