Festive Sansha in Spring Festival

CGTN

This Spring Festival, the festive atmosphere spread across the length and breadth of China, and Sansha City, located at the southernmost tip of the country, was no exception. From Chinese New Year's Eve onward, various households prepared tantalizing family reunion dinners.

In Yongxing Community, Sansha City, households served homemade dishes, including Wenchang chicken, groupers and rice balls. People who came here to meet their family members brought ingredients from various parts of China.

Fishermen from Meiji Community in Nansha District celebrated the New Year with a seafood feast on their fishing boats. On the deck, freshly caught tutufa bufo and fish were simply cooked and served. The fishermen sat together, enjoying the joy of reunion.

Besides delicious food, Sansha City also hosted a Spring Festival Gala. Unlike the grand celebrations in other areas of China, this gala provided a stage for local residents to voluntarily display their talents, with warm blessings echoing throughout the venue.
