Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice on a night when Jhon Duran made his debut in Saudi Arabia, helping Al Nassr trounce Al Wasl 4-0 in the AFC Champions League Elite on Monday.
Ali Al-Hassan gave Al Nassr the lead in Riyadh with a low driven, long-range shot in the 25th minute.
Ronaldo, who will celebrate his 40th birthday on Wednesday, stepped up to convert a penalty kick on the stroke of halftime, following a handball by Salem Al Azizi. And in the 78th minute, the Portuguese superstar headed in a cross from Sadio Mane to bag a brace against the visitors from the United Arab Emirates.
Mohammed Al-Fatil added a late fourth goal for Al Nassr who, having already booked a place in the next round, sit in third place with 16 points.
Al Wasl, meanwhile, rank fifth with 11 points and have also locked up a spot in the last 16.
