A Chinese ink painting exhibition titled "Red" is currently on display at the Usera Municipal Council Exhibition Hall in Madrid, running from January 28 to February 28.
The exhibition showcases 23 Chinese New Year folk paintings by Yue Yu, a distinguished painter from Xi'an and the director of the Institute of Religious Fine Arts at Northwest University in China. Themed around the color red, these works vividly capture the festive spirit and rich traditions of the Chinese New Year.
The exhibition is part of the Madrid Spring Festival organized by KDH, an organization dedicated to intercultural events between China and Spain. This year's Madrid Spring Festival will take place in the Spanish capital from February 1 to 28, then in Shanghai from March 28 to 30, and finally in Xi'an from April 4 to 6.
According to Madrid's official tourism website, the city is marking the Chinese New Year with a dynamic cultural program in the Usera district for the 10th consecutive year. The festivities include fireworks, a parade, a spring race, and a diverse mix of music and food, all designed to bring the spirit of the Chinese New Year to a global audience.
