China-Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) people-to-people exchanges are the bedrock of good relations, the ASEAN Secretary-General said in an interview. China's embassies in ASEAN member states and the ASEAN committee in Beijing are all working toward mutual understanding, tourism and safety. This year, on the second China-ASEAN Year of People-to-people Exchanges, both sides are committed to more cultural exchanges and closer ties.
