Throughout early February, Harbin, Heilongjiang remains immersed in extreme cold even as spring approaches, with temperatures hovering around -30°C. This prolonged deep freeze has given rise to a breathtaking natural phenomenon where the Hejiagou River meets the Songhua River in the city's main district.

At this convergence, towering ice waterfalls have formed naturally, creating a striking display of frozen cascades. The ice, shaped by the relentless cold and flowing water, takes on a variety of intricate forms — resembling frozen waves and crystal sculptures carved by nature itself.
