The UN Human Rights Council has called for the immediate withdrawal of M23 rebels from occupied areas in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and will investigate alleged violations. UN rights chief Volker Turk reports nearly 3,000 deaths and over 2,800 injuries since M23 entered Goma on January 26. Mercy Muthee Laker, head of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies' Country Cluster Delegation for the DRC, the Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi, spoke with CGTN anchor Hou Na about the humanitarian situation in the DRC.
