Hongsha Village in Tongren, Guizhou was alive with excitement as the annual "Dragon Bombing" festival took center stage on February 6. People from near and far gathered with family and friends to witness the breathtaking spectacle.
As night fell, the sound of drums and firecrackers filled the air. The dragon dance team set off from the village gate, parading through the streets in a lively procession.
At 9 p.m., the main event began. Villagers, holding lit firecrackers, bravely charged toward the dancing dragon, tossing explosives at its body in a thrilling display. This age-old tradition is believed to ward off evil, usher in good fortune, and bring a prosperous year ahead.
