China sweep all five titles at WTT Singapore Smash

China have achieved an impressive sweep at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Singapore Smash, securing all five titles on offer. This remarkable accomplishment unfolded as Chinese paddlers triumphed in both the men's and women's doubles finals, while also claiming every spot in the singles title matches.

Wang Chuqin and Lin Shidong, competing together for the first time at a WTT event, displayed remarkable chemistry and skill, dominating the Chinese Taipei duo of Lin Yun-ju and Kao Cheng-jui in straight games, finishing with scores of 11-2, 11-4, and 13-11. Lin further distinguished himself by reaching the men's singles final, where he secured a straight-game victory over Frenchman Alexis Lebrun.

In another thrilling encounter, Liang Jingkun edged past top seed Wang Chuqin in a nail-biting match that went the full distance, ultimately clinching the seventh game with a score of 12-10.

In the women's singles semifinals, Kuai Man continued her outstanding performance, celebrating her 21st birthday on Friday with a mixed doubles title alongside Lin. She overpowered teammate Chen Xingtong with a decisive 4-2 victory.

The other semifinal showcased a gripping battle between two Chinese contenders, as world No. 1 Sun Yingsha fought her way through a tightly contested match against Wang Yidi, finishing the deciding game at 12-10.

In the women's doubles final, Wang Manyu and Kuai triumphed over Sun and Wang in an epic 3-2 showdown, marking Kuai's second title of the tournament after her earlier success in mixed doubles.
