A magnitude-7.6 quake hit 209 kilometers southwest of George Town, the capital of Cayman Islands, at a depth of 10 kilometers, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has reported.
A tsunami advisory has been issued in the north of Honduras following the quake, according to the U.S. Tsunami Warning System.
