Chinese athletes finished the competitions on Monday at the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, with another six gold medals.
It was another victorious day for China on the speed skating track after clinching all three titles. Gao Tingyu won the men's 500-meters final in 34.95 seconds, beating Wataru Morishige of Japan by just 0.02 seconds. South Korea's Kim Jun-ho came away with bronze with 35.03.
Yang Binyu, Han mei and Tai Zhien occupied all three podium spots in the women's speed skating 3,000-meters. Yang clinched the gold in 4:08.54. Han had the silver in 4:09.06. Tai clinched bronze in 4:12.01.
Gao, Lian Ziwen and Ning Zhongyan also secured the speed skating men's team sprint title for the hosts after finishing the final in 1:19.22. South Korea came in second and Japan finished third.
Three of the four skiing golds went to Chinese athletes as well. Xu Mengtao, Li Xinpeng and Qi Guangpu dominated the freestyle skiing mixed team aerials final with 305.64 points, over 70 more than the silver medalists Kazakhstan. Japan earned the bronze with 191.28.
Xiong Shirui and Zhao Xiaonan claimed the women's snowboard big air gold and silver medals respectively. Xiong got the top of the podium with 164 points over Zhang's 156.75.
Yang Wenlong won the men's snowboard big air final with 193.25 points and an absolute advantage over his compatriot Jiang Xinjie in the second place and his 160.25 points.
