An infrared camera in Hubei's Duheyuan National Nature Reserve recently captured a touching scene, a Chinese goral mother strolling and foraging with her cub. The mother stayed alert while the little one curiously explored. The Chinese goral is a nationally protected species classified as vulnerable on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. They thrive in steep mountain terrain but are few in number, making conservation crucial.
