The Lantern Festival celebrations in Chengdu, Sichuan's provincial capital, have not only brightened the streets but also united communities from China's Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region. Despite being landlocked in the southwest, Sichuan is home to a sizable community from these regions. The event aims to foster unity and understanding of different parts of China, celebrating reunions as one big family. CGTN's Xu Xinchen reports.
