Who pays the price for U.S. tariffs?

Did you know that personal spending makes up about two-thirds of the U.S. economy? It's the driving force behind growth. However, high tariffs on imports are making everyday goods more expensive, hitting consumers hard.

Take footwear as an example: 99 percent of the shoes sold in the U.S. are imported, with over 60 percent coming from China. Since 2018, tariffs have stayed in place, costing Americans $9.3 billion in 2023 alone – just for shoes.
