A rescue operation is ongoing after a landslide struck Jinping Village in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Saturday. Nearly 850 rescue workers including firefighters and armed police took part in the operation on February 12. They used over 400 sets of machinery. Local officials are also providing villagers with temporary shelter, medical care and counseling.
