The Chinese animated blockbuster "Ne Zha 2" has reached a remarkable milestone: Its total box office revenue – including special screenings, pre-sales and overseas earnings – has surpassed 13 billion yuan, approximately $1.8 billion, according to Maoyan Professional, China’s leading movie-ticketing platform. It is now the highest-grossing animated film globally, placing it among the top 8 highest-grossing films of all time.
The success of "Ne Zha 2" has attracted significant international attention. The film has already been released in multiple overseas markets, including North America, Australia and New Zealand, with its overseas box office exceeding $104 million. According to Maoyan, North America has proven to be the highest-grossing overseas region for the film, with a cumulative box office nearing $11.25 million as of 11 a.m. Beijing Time on February 22.
Since its overseas debut, "Ne Zha 2" has received widespread acclaim from both global audiences and industry professionals for its captivating storyline and stunning visuals.
