A highly anticipated symposium on private enterprises was held in Beijing on Monday. During a CGTN special roundtable discussion on private sector development in China, Christian Lundblad, a professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, said it is a strong affirmation of the private sector's cornerstone role in China's future economic trajectory. "I think very strongly that a vibrant private sector reinforces China's potential to continue playing a key role as a global leader in trade, technology and supply chain integration," said the professor, adding that the symposium demonstrated China's capacity to adapt in a rapidly shifting economic landscape.
