Recent flooding in Botswana, caused by continuous rainfall, has led to at least 8 deaths, according to official reports on Sunday. President Duma Boko confirmed that the floods have affected 2,994 people and prompted the evacuation of 1,749 individuals.
The government will implement rescue measures to minimize losses. President Boko added that the government will also inspect the disaster resilience of infrastructure nationwide to better respond to such emergencies.
