Inheritors of the Miao ethnic group's leaf-vein embroidery technique have depicted the traditional Chinese mythological figure of Ne Zha, recently made famous by the success of the Chinese animated blockbuster "Ne Zha 2," on a delicate, translucent leaf.
Combining figure patterns with the natural texture of leaves, this leaf-vein embroidery is made from leaves found in the Fanjing Mountain scenic area in southwest China's Guizhou Province. After going through more than thirty processes, embroidery technicians deftly sew on the delicate leaf veins, carefully creating the unique works.
