The torch for this year's World Games in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province, was unveiled on Thursday by the organizers. The first torch in the history of the competition is named "Zhumeng," which means "Bamboo Dream."

The design integrates concepts from Sichuan's ancient Shu civilization. Through its shape, color, and patterns, the torch conveys the spirit of the World Games, while also telling China's story and echoing the slogan for the event's relay: "Join the World Games, Ignite the Dream."

Standing 72 centimeters tall, the torch draws inspiration from the Sanxingdui Bronze Standing Figure, and incorporates bamboo segments. This fusion symbolizes both the enduring legacy of Chinese civilization and the perpetual vitality of sportsmanship.

The torch features green and silver as its primary colors. Green represents the world's natural foundation, while silver reflects technological innovation and momentum. The design underscores China's dedication to green development and cutting-edge progress, while envisioning a shared future with the world.

Chengdu will host the second edition of the World Games from August 7-17.
