Elderly care in China has transitioned from a safety net providing basic livelihood support to a system of quality services that integrates both medical and health care. As most elderly Chinese people prefer to live in their own homes rather than move to nursing homes, the country is making continuous efforts to ensure that relevant services are accessible within communities.
