Soraya Arrabal, a filmmaker based in New York, has spent the last 13 years working closely with Chinese people and has traveled to Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province. She says her exposure to Chinese culture through work led her to naturally fall in love with it. Soraya has found the country's cultural diversity astonishing, from its food to local traditions. As a filmmaker, she admires Wong Kar-wai the most, praising his shooting techniques and narration style as a very good interpretation of China. Meanwhile, she also feels the rich romance embedded in Chinese culture.
