Ferrari's Chinese reserve driver Zhou Guanyu has shared insights about his training and life with the iconic Italian team, as well as what it means to be teammates with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Last month, Ferrari confirmed Zhou's role as a reserve driver for the 2025 season, complementing the team's line-up alongside current backup Antonio Giovinazzi. This announcement put to rest any speculation regarding Zhou's immediate future, especially following the Sauber team's decision to revamp their driver roster, parting ways with both Zhou and teammate Valtteri Bottas.
Zhou emphasized the importance of preparation in his new role, stating, "As a reserve driver, you still need to train and be ready for unexpected chances; I must stay fit and keep my training going."

In this capacity, Zhou will support Ferrari's full-time drivers, as the renowned team fields a revamped line-up this year with Hamilton joining Charles Leclerc.
Reflecting on his new partnership with Hamilton, Zhou added, "Over the past few years, I haven't spent much time with Hamilton. Now that I'm working with him, he is a very smart driver who will bring rich experiences to the team... To work alongside him, it's a great honor for me obviously and I know I can learn a lot from him."
