“This might be one of the best animation movies I have seen in my life," an international student of Central China Normal University told CGTN after watching the recent blockbuster "Ne Zha 2."

Attracted by the vibrant culture of China, Aruna Jayathilaka from Sri Lanka came to Wuhan in central China's Hubei Province two years ago, and is pursuing a doctoral degree in international relations.

Jayathilaka is among a group of young people from nine countries who watched the movie together on Friday. They shared their experiences of traveling in China, offering unique perspectives on the country's culture, scenery and cuisine.

Jayathilaka had previously learned about the movie from the press, but watching the movie in person still amazed him. "I know about the technical things... In this movie the movements are so natural, including the sound and picture quality."

Victoria from Mexico, on the other hand, found the movie was heart-touching and resonated well with her own culture. She told CGTN that she loved the plot twist in the story, but saw more than a story.

"They explain the Chinese culture of Yin and Yang, whereas in Mexican culture we also have 'the one versus the other," she said, adding that Ne Zha was her favorite character for his loyalty, bravery and being true to himself.

Victoria also said that she had completely changed her impression of China immediately after she came to China seven years ago.

"China is a really relaxed country, and that everybody can do whatever they want. There's just so much freedom."

She also made friends with Chinese locals whom she described as family.

"It takes longer to become friends with a Chinese compared to Mexicans. But I feel like when you have a Chinese friend, it's like for life," she said.
