The Longmen Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Luoyang, China, stand as a testament to the country's rich cultural and artistic heritage. The majestic Lushena Buddha at Longmen Grottoes, Luoyang, an ancient capital city in central China's Henan Province.
Among its many wonders, the Lushena Buddha is a notable example of a Tang Dynasty (672-675) sculpture. Sponsored in part by Empress Wu Zetian, this colossal statue radiates a sense of serene majesty. The Buddha's dignified countenance, along with the lifelike depictions of disciples, bodhisattvas, heavenly kings and warriors, showcases the pinnacle of Chinese Buddhist artistry.
