The external exchanges of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) converged efforts to overcome challenges and build a community with a shared future for mankind, a spokesperson said on Monday.
Liu Jieyi, spokesman for the third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, made the remarks at a press conference held by the CPPCC National Committee in Beijing a day ahead of its annual session.
"Last year, seven visits to the CPPCC were held, inviting friends from more than 100 countries, including foreign diplomats in China, sinology scholars, business figures from multinational corporations and international business associations, as well as young representatives from Global South countries. They have a wide range exchanges of views on Chinese modernization, the key to Chinese governance, high-standard opening up, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and international trade and economic cooperation, as well as international and regional issues. They learned more about the 75 years of the CPPCC and the development of China's democracy and developed a deep understanding of the unique strength of whole-process people's democracy," said Liu.
