On the afternoon of March 4, the first Members' Corridor of the third session of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee was held at the Great Hall of the People, where Yan Jianbing, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and president of Huazhong Agricultural University, spoke to reporters.
Yan said that ensuring national food security relies on two key strategies: increasing grain production through land use and advancing agricultural technology. He noted that China's overall agricultural science and technology innovation capacity now ranks among the world's top, with a contribution rate of agricultural scientific and technological innovation exceeding 63 percent.
