NPC spokesperson: China advocates stronger Global South unity for shared development

With Global South countries contributing 80 percent to world economic growth, China remains committed to solidarity and South-South cooperation. China's National People's Congress (NPC) spokesperson highlighted President Xi Jinping's initiative for open and inclusive Global South cooperation, announcing eight key measures, including zero-tariff treatment for over 40 least developed countries. China's NPC is ready to enhance exchanges with Global South legislatures to provide legal support for collective self-reliance and development.

Lou Qinjian, spokesperson for the third session of the 14th NPC, made the remarks during a press briefing on the NPC session scheduled to run from March 5 to 11.
