Based on the conditions of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, the CPPCC National Committee has coordinated different activities of public, people-to-people and think-tank diplomacy by convening major international events, such as the Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, Wang Huning, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, said on Tuesday.

The CPPCC National Committee and its affiliated organizations carried out 221 international exchange events with 2,600 foreigners from 140 countries and 11 international and regional organizations participating in those activities, Wang said.

The CPPCC National Committee opened its annual session on Tuesday in Beijing. Wang delivered a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee.

The CPPCC National Committee has deepened international exchanges and better served the big picture of the Party and the nation, the chairman noted.
