As new employment models like couriers, food delivery riders and drivers for cab-hailing platforms flourish in the evolving e-commerce economy, safeguarding their rights and well-being has become a national priority in recent years. In Beijing's Jianguomen subdistrict, the local government has established a "warm-hearted lounge," where couriers can recharge during their breaks.
