China will make every effort in the fields relating to agriculture, rural areas and rural residents and take solid steps to advance all-around rural revitalization, according to a government work report submitted on Wednesday to the national legislature for deliberation.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang delivered the work report on behalf of the State Council at the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing.

"Continuing to prioritize agricultural and rural development, we will learn from and apply the experience gained from the Green Rural Revival Program in Zhejiang Province and improve supporting systems for strengthening agriculture, benefiting farmers and enriching rural areas," said Premier Li.

"We will adopt all means necessary to raise agricultural returns, invigorate rural development and increase rural incomes," he added.

Premier Li also said China will keep working to consolidate and build on the country's achievements in poverty alleviation.
