China to expand opening up, encourage foreign trade and investment

01:20

China remains steadfast in its commitment to opening up, regardless of changes in the external environment, according to a government work report submitted on Wednesday to the national legislature for deliberation.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang delivered the work report on behalf of the State Council at the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing.

The report outlines plans to steadily expand institutional opening up, advance unilateral opening in a well-ordered manner and promote reform and development through greater openness.
