Ne Zha reborn: This time, it's pumpkin!

By Zhao Ying

00:18

In the Chinese animated blockbuster "Ne Zha 2," master Taiyi Zhenren reincarnated Ne Zha out of a body made from lotus roots powder.

Inspired by the film, a Wuhan chef in central China's Hubei Province has sculpted a remarkably detailed Ne Zha from a pumpkin in only one day, showcasing exceptional knife skills and capturing the deity's playful spirit. The iconic fire-tipped spear and flowing red sash and the wind fire wheels are rendered with remarkable realism.

This artwork reimagines the classic tale. It's a charming example of how movies and modern culinary creativity can blend to create something truly special.
