China to accelerate new round of capital market reform and opening up

China will accelerate a new round of capital market reform and opening up, while enhancing the foundation for the healthy development of the stock market, Wu Qing, head of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), said at a press conference on the sidelines of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress on Thursday in Beijing.

Wu emphasized that China will further enhance market inclusiveness, improve the coordination between investment and financing development, deepen the effectiveness of supervision and law enforcement, and promote the adaptability of the market's fundamental institutions.
