The low-altitude economy will become a new engine of economic growth and activate new forms of consumption in China, said Yang Yi, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), on Friday.
"The low-altitude economy, as a typical representative of new quality productive forces with strong growth potential, is an important way to cultivate new growth momentum. It is widely applied in logistics, urban air transport, emergency rescue, and can boost new consumption, enhance government public services, and reshape the future transport and logistics pattern," said Yang.
"To develop the low-altitude economy, we need to cooperate on airspace opening and management, safety, technology, and market-driven approaches to promote scaled-up applications," she added.
Yang, a senior technical specialist at the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, made the remarks during a question-and-answer session at the Members' Corridor, as the third session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC held its second group interview at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
