China will host a Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit this autumn in the northern city of Tianjin, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday.
Following the Astana summit in July 2024, China assumed the rotating presidency of the SCO for 2024-2025 and will host the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO.
Wang said China will host more than 100 events in fields such as politics, security and the economy, aiming to draw up a blueprint for development, build consensus on cooperation and promote the building of a closer SCO community with a shared future.
