According to the provincial government, China's eastern province of Jiangsu's GDP has achieved a growth rate of 5.8 percent in 2024, the highest among China's provinces and regions. Shi Jiao, associate professor at Peking University HSBC Business School, says that Jiangsu is a major economic powerhouse in China's development.
