Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged the Chinese military to realize the "14th Five-Year Plan" while meeting with delegates from the People's Liberation Army and People's Armed Police Forces. Building a strong country with elements of Chinese modernization, Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on the military to work hard to achieve its goals. President Xi, also the Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended a meeting of the delegation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the People's Armed Police Force during the Two Sessions.
Representatives from different military sectors have discussed advances in military equipment testing, executive management, and the development of emerging resources. President Xi said that military development should follow a high-quality path with high efficiency and low cost and that the outcome should stand the test of real combat scenarios. He urged to eliminate barriers and promote cross-department and cross-sector cooperation. The Chinese leader also stressed the need for supervision and anti-corruption efforts.
